Coppercoat is a water-based, solvent-free antifouling coating formulated with epoxy resin, hardener, and copper powder.
Its composition containing 99% pure copper makes it one of the most effective and durable solutions against marine microorganisms available on the market. Currently, no other antifouling product offers a comparable copper content.
The natural oxidation of the copper provides continuous and long-lasting protection in the water, delivering reliable performance for more than a decade. In addition, Coppercoat serves as an excellent preventive treatment against osmosis. The epoxy-and-copper formulation creates a robust protective barrier that seals and reinforces the hull.
Over time, typically after the first year, a light patina may form on the hull. This can be easily removed with a medium-stiff sponge or brush in under 30 minutes, restoring optimal performance.
Unlike conventional antifouling coatings, Coppercoat remains effective for many seasons. A single application has been proven to perform for at least 10 years, with many installations remaining effective for 20 seasons or longer.
Coverage for 1 litre: 16 m² per coat, i.e. 4 m² for the recommended four coats.
